
The CoE PLACE will be managed to become a leading research center in Sriwijaya University towards UNSRI++ (Undisputable Excellence, Networking, Sustainability, Relevancy and Innovations), which means Undisputable excellent in various activities of tridharma in accordance with its mission, continuous care and improvement of Networking with various parties involved, always pay attention to Sustainability ot the activities through various planned programs, and its implementation with measurable indicators to improve Relevance with the implementation of good Internal management based on excellent of integrity and idealism to produce variety of Innovations that provide benefits to people and able to competitive in national and international levels.
Recognizing the importance of peatland and mangrove ecosystems, efforts are underway globally to protect, restore, and sustainably manage these areas.
- Conservation: Together with Government, NGOs, and communities are working together to establish protected areas and promote sustainable land-use practices.
- Reforestation: Restoration projects aim to replant mangroves and rehabilitate degraded peatlands, helping to revive these ecosystems.
- Research: Researchers continue to study these ecosystems to better understand their value and how to preserve them effectively.
